PSV - End-of-season message
Words from 4DR Studios:
"Due to the corona crisis the football season came to an abrupt end in 2020. All matches were canceled, the stadiums closed and also all fan-events could not happen anymore. Nevertheless, PSV wanted to thank all fans in a personal and eye-catching way for all their support during this enervating season.
Football players are the posters boys of a club. Fans are wearings shirts with the names of their favourite players and children are impatiently in line for a photo with one of their heroes. It will be no surprise that the end-of-season message had to be spoken by a player of PSV.
To get that done we captured Donyell Malen in our studio. We added this volumetric video to an augmented reality application allowing Donyell Malen to appear in 3D in the living room of thousands of fans. And what football fan says no to that, a personal visit of one of the starplayers!"
